Radio Presenting

Through our radio courses, you'll be trained in this highly concentrated, hands-on program for careers in radio broadcasting and emerging broadcast media. In collaboration with Journalism - Broadcast students, you'll program and operate three radio stations: The Falcon, CFRL Radio, and CIXXFM 106.9 The X — Canada's first fully licensed teaching radio station equipped with the latest digital communications and production technology.

Entry Requirement

OSSD with courses from the College (C), University (U), University/College (M), or Open (O) stream with: - Any Grade 12 English (C) or (U)

Structure

Learn about on-air performance, creative writing, content creation, audio production, sales and marketing, broadcast administration, web content development, promotions, and programming. You'll also learn in a live environment while performing on-air and behind-the-scenes job functions identical to those in the digital media and broadcast industry.

Progression

The graduates enter private and public broadcasting as on-air personalities, announcers, radio programmers, creative writers, producers, commercial marketing and sales and promotions with opportunities across UK and the world.

Course Review

Create radio productions and audio content, in-studio and on location, using relevant broadcasting equipment and related industry technologies.
